Basketball fans in the Philippines are going bonkers over some pretty big news: Sabrina Ionescu will be visiting Manila. What can you expect from her visit? Let’s break it down for you.
“Make Space” with Sabrina Ionescu
Sabrina Ionescu is one of the best female hoopers in the world. She’s a WNBA champion with the New York Liberty and a Gold Medalist for Team USA at the Paris Olympics. Her achievements include:
- WNBA champion (2024)
- 3× WNBA All-Star (2022–2024)
- 3× All-WNBA Second Team (2022–2024)
- WNBA Three-Point Shootout champion (2023)
- WNBA Skills Challenge Champion (2022)
- WNBA Commissioner’s Cup Champion (2023)
- Olympic Champion (2024)
That’s pretty bad-ass.
She’s also a sniper from the three-point arch. She scored 37 points in the 2023 Three-Point Contest, where she sank 25 of her final 27 shots. It was the most in WNBA history.
Her upcoming Asia Tour
Ionescu visited Manila for the 2018 FIBA 3X3 World Cup. But fans can expect to see more of the WNBA champ when she visits Manila to kick-start her Asia Tour.
Ionescu’s Asia Tour is organized by Nike and will start in Manila on March 11, followed by visits to Guangzhou and Hong Kong.

- A panel talk at Nike Fort in Bonifacio Global City with fellow Nike athletes and coaches.
- A basketball clinic at The Courtyard, along with launching a Nike Sabrina 2 collaboration.
- An exhibition game at the Araneta Coliseum.
