Final Destination: Bloodlines in 4DX adds new dimensions to a cult classic.
Six films in, and the premise for Final Destination hasn’t lost its appeal. The usual plot: A would-be-victim of a horrific catastrophe foresees “Death’s plan” and saves lives in the process. In effect, Death claims the survivors one-by-one in the most gruesome ways. Seems like it could get old after five installments, right? Well, Final Destination fans don’t seem to think so.
Released 14 years after Final Destination 5, “Bloodlines” shakes things up with a chilling new twist: what if survivors passed more than just trauma to their kids—what if they passed on Death’s hit list too? Turns out, Death holds a serious grudge, and it’s not messing around. This time, it’s slicing, impaling, and even lawnmowering its way through entire family trees.
This concept adds some interesting twists and turns to the horror flick that fans know and love. And just when you thought millennials had seen enough to haunt them forever, part six cranks things up even more. If avoiding log trucks and sketchy construction convoys was second nature to millennials, Gen Z now gets their own trauma starter pack—think hospitals, vending machines, backyard BBQs, and yeah…maybe hold off on that new piercing.
“Bloodlines” had audiences flinching at every kill while watching the flick in 4DX at Ayala Malls Cinemas, Bonifacio High Street. The motion seats of 4DX added to the fun, as every crash, thud, and disaster wasn’t just seen; it was felt.
At the end of the film, audiences at the special 4DX screening walked away from their Final Destination experience smiling, shook, and thankfully, in one piece.
