Sabrina Ionescu brought the magic to Araneta Coliseum during the highly anticipated main event of her Manila visit.
The festivities began with the championship game of Titan’s “Show Her Love” basketball tournament. Team TRIPLE B’s came out on top, led by Kacey Dela Rosa, who took home the MVP trophy.
In an artistic performance, iconic Pinay athletes Alyssa Valdez, Pauline Lopez, Camille Clarin, and Louna Ozar set the stage for Ionescu’s big reveal.
After a flashy Nike intro, Ionescu made her way to the court. Ionescu played in an exhibition game and three-point shootout with PH basketball stars like LA Tenorio, Jhaz Joson, Paul Lee, Afril Bernardino, Japeth Aguilar, Clarin, Ozar, Chris Newsome, CJ Perez, Trina Guytingco, Ricci Rivero, and many more.
The event was capped off by heart-felt messages from young hoopers, both male and female, expressing gratitude for how Ionescu has impacted the game and their lives. “Salamat, Sabrina,” was the unified chant of those in attendance, showing love and appreciation for the WNBA star.
