For the first time in over a decade, former NBA MVP Derrick Rose made his way back to Manila—this time as the newest ambassador for ArenaPlus.
The brand welcomed Rose with an exclusive activation at One Ayala, Makati, where guests enjoyed local treats, games, and photo opportunities before the big reveal of a mini LED court. The setup brought together members of the local basketball community: media, content creators, pro and amateur players, and fellow ArenaPlus ambassadors Scottie Thompson, RJ Abarrientos, and Dani Ravena.
Veteran sports host Boom Gonzales opened the festivities, leading into a series of interactive activities with creators like Margaux Nonato, Sports Papi, and Pinoy Basketbolista. Fans were also treated to a special live podcast session hosted by sports caster Anton Roxas.
Rose, true to his reputation as a fan favorite, immersed himself in the event—joining games, interacting with the crowd, signing merchandise, and making sure to connect with as many people as possible. His energy and humility stood out, embodying the very spirit of being “a man of the people.”
