KJ Guada Badajos, Andwelle Cabanero to represent PH at Jordan Brand’s “The One” Global Finals

Who will be “The One?” Two of the country’s brightest young hoopers are headed to the world stage to find out.

KJ Guada Badajos and Andwelle Cabanero emerged as the champions of Jordan Brand’s “The One” Manila Qualifier, earning the right to represent the Philippines at the The One Global Finals in Shanghai, China later this month.

Badajos ruled the girls’ division, topping a field of 10 finalists with a composed and confident performance to secure the championship. On the boys’ side, Cabanero came out on top of a stacked 16-player bracket, proving himself as the last player standing after a series of high-intensity one-on-one matchups.

The One is Jordan Brand’s premier global one-on-one basketball tournament, bringing together some of the world’s most talented young players for a chance to compete on the international stage. With Manila serving as one of the tournament’s qualifying cities, the stakes couldn’t have been higher as the country’s top prospects battled for the lone spots in Shanghai.

Now, the challenge gets even bigger.

Badajos and Cabanero will go up against fellow champions from around the world, carrying not just the Jumpman, but Philippine basketball with them as they compete at the Global Finals.

From winning the streets of Manila to taking on the world’s best, the next stop is Shanghai.

Good luck, KJ and Andwelle. 🇵🇭🏀
